Connecting learning, landscape and collective memory.

Developed as a design competition entry, the proposal for Faculty of Informatics Building 2 at Mahasarakham University brings classrooms, laboratories, an AI Innovation Hub and shared learning spaces into a connected campus environment.

The design takes the existing amphitheatre as a place of collective memory, developing it into three layers of activity that bridge the new building and the existing faculty. Landscaped terraces, outdoor classrooms and informal gathering areas extend learning beyond enclosed rooms.

A terracotta-toned upper volume, vertical shading elements and Morse-code-inspired openings give the building its identity. Earth-toned surfaces and planted spaces connect the architecture, interiors and landscape, while daylight and rainwater strategies inform the environmental approach.
