Women’s House
Oneself Community
A proposal for the Kaira Looro Architecture Competition, Women’s House is organised as a circular building around a shared courtyard. The central space brings together gathering, outdoor learning and everyday community activities, while an entrance route connects the main functional areas.
Earth-brick walls alternate between solid surfaces and open patterns, maintaining visual connections between rooms and the courtyard. A lightweight corrugated roof rests on timber columns and beams, sheltering a sequence of indoor and outdoor spaces. The proposal creates a place for women to meet, exchange knowledge and develop their potential within the wider community.
